CARNEGIE, PA, October 6, 2021 – This past weekend our company joined in to sponsor the local Carlynton Junior-Senior High School Wiffleball Tournament at Chioda Field in Carnegie. For the past eight years, the Carlynton Takedown Club, a wrestling booster club, has hosted this tournament with proceeds going to the high school’s Wrestling teams. Chris Mangum, our Director of Construction Management and a Carlynton Alumnus, said, “The turnout was great; as a fellow wrestler, it is nice they hold this event to help benefit the teams.” Between the 12 teams, friends and family, the event hosted over 200 people.
A team of Carlynton High School Students, lead by faculty member Mr. Jake Trombetta, won the tournament. Along with Red Direct’s donation, the event raised enough money to assist the Wrestling teams for the 2022 season.
